Our Kittys
As most of you know we began acquiring kittys the first week of May. It was hard considering it had only been about 6 m since having to put our diamond down after 16 yrs. Twylla came to us at 3 weeks and 8oz. Her siblings were all dead and mommy no where to be found. She was in an empty house She had to be bottle fed every 4 hours and stimulated to relieve herself. What an experience that was.
Lao Hu came to us at 6 weeks and 3 times as big as Twylla. He had ear mites, but all in all healthy. He was with a family. We thought he was a girl at first until the garbonzos dropped. ooooops i hope he didn't get a complex from being called a she for so long.
The kittys are doing great now as you can tell by the pictures. They have settled right into our home and routine. We have a great squirt bottle to teach them to stay off of counters and tables. They both are doing great in the kitty box. What a great day that was when Twylla got big enough to get down the basement steps so I could get the box out of my kitchen. Both kittys love to get in bed with Abigail and she wants NO, I mean NO part of that. So we have resorted to putting the gate up at night to keep the cats out of her room. It's amazing how much energy they have at night. As they run through the house on the hard wood floors it sounds as if they elephants have been turned loose in my house. The loudest part is when they crash into stuff and things go tumbling.
I am amazed every day watching them grow, learn, and settle in. The cats not the kids but it really is the same process. Each day is an adventure.
Twylla at about 5 weeks. She was still on the bottle back then. We put a scrunchy around her neck, it was the only thing that fit. She really likes sleeping on Da Ping.

Holy Cow! Twylla is huge now. She was smaller than my hand that first day.
I know you've been going through some rough times lately. I hope you've turned the corner.
Sorry to have missed the Thursday play date this week. The one at Amy's was fun. We missed you there. We have got to get you to MNO some month. It's fun!
