I've been sewing again.

I made a few outfits for the girls and new bedspreads with pillows. I'll upload those later. I'm suppose to be getting everything ready for when I have surgery next week to keep me occupied while I'm laid up. But oh well. I'll have to get other stuff ready

I got tagged

I am "tagging" you. I was tagged and used 6 words to describe me on my blog. Now it is your turn! Jen OK six words to describe myself, Hmmmmm. I know this is a family friendly site. :>) 1) Energetic (sitting still, what's that) 2) Organized (sometimes to the point of being compulsive) 3) Motherly (not just to my own kids but to everyone who comes in my path) 4) Stubborn (this does not always serve me well) 5) Inquisitive (I need to know "why" for everything - I sound like my kids) 6) Daring ("It'll be alright" will be on my headstone) I look at this list and can't help but smile at the variety of the mix that is me. I'm tagging - Donna

Our crazy last week.

This past 9 days have been zoom zoom zoom. First was the Water Park. That trip in itself takes a few days to recover from. Then we had VBS all last week from 6pm - 8pm. I know that doesn't seem like much but with little girls who go to bed at 8 pm it's everything. They also swam every day beacuse the heat was so bad here in the midwest. On top of all that I taught the Pre K - K group. There were 11 kids in all unless you count one wonderful little boy then I had 20. :>) I really debated on a leash. He would jet so fast I had trouble keeping up. They got me an assistant to help keep him corralled. But all in all they had a wondeful time and so did I. Then Sat am we got up early to drive to Indy for the FTIA adoption group picnic. We stay all night and drive back in on Sunday. Yes I know we are A Great Wall family but our friend, Drisella is an FTIA Baby so we go down with her family. What a great time but VERY VERY hot. So we are now recovering from that. This week will be a bit calmer. My Girly Girls Our theme for VBS was N.A.S.A. = Needing a Savior Always. It was a coll theme for boys or girls and the kids really got a kick out of the whole space idea and blasting off at the end to reach our goal of peace with God. I never would have thought the day would come when Abigail would play in water without haveing wings, rings, lifejacket and towels wrapped around here. "You've come a long way Baby". How sweet are these faces. Ooooooooh Radio Disney Beauty Queen - What a cutie My Little Old Lady - Her Soul is so much older than her chronilogical age

Last Sunday we went to the waterpark. The girls think it's the cat's meow. They have 9 slides, 2 lazy rivers, and of course the wave pool. The Lazy river is mine and Abigail's speed. Daddy and Genevieve rodes the slides until daddy became "Green". She was pretty ticked when Daddy said he can't ride anymore. Genevieve palyed so much she forgot to eat. That made for a rough evening until her Dinner came at the restaurant. What a great Daddy - Geneveive thinks he walks on water when she's hurt. Our little Darling fell. Although she wasn't hurt, Daddy plays right into it. She should get "Daddy" tattooed on the bottom of the foot sonsidering she walks all over him.

Our Stinkweed

Our Anthony was joined a soft-ball league this year, and is loving every minute of it. He plays on 2 different teams. The co-ed team plays on Friday evenings and the all man team plays on Wednesday evenings. These pics are from the Fri team. The girls get such a kick out of going and watching their brother play. They hang on the fence and yell for him like a batch of groupies. Sometimes Pretty Princess Poopy Pants comes along. She didn't make last nights game, we were expecting storms and it was hotter than blue blazes out side.

Sleeping Beauty

This is Abigail's idea of playing in the pool. She either sits on the raft with a towel around her or falls asleep on the raft. The whole getting wet and being cold thing is not her.

Our 4th of July

The girls did so much better this year as opposed to last. (Last year they sat in the house and watched through the window) They still needed their headphones but at least wanted to participate. Well Genevieve did. Abigail just sat on Aunt Barbie's lap. That seemed to be the best place in the world for her. Genevieve and Daddy had the best time playing with sparklers. She sure is turning into a Daddy's Girl. Who would have thought.
